Willow Tree Cake Topper - Anniversary figurine by Susan Lordi

"Love ever endures"

Sculpted figure is affixed to a base of carved flowers which provides stability atop a cake.

This piece features figures of a couple sitting next to each other on a bench, holding hands. The woman is in a cream dress, the man is in a cream shirt and dark pants. Figures affixed to a base of carved white flowers.

Piece measures 10cm.

----------------------

A romantic, commemorative keepsake for weddings and anniversaries. Silver or gold, or for any year, it’s a way to celebrate enduring love. “I sculpted this piece using my parents as models. When I asked them to sit down and get comfortable, they just seemed to fit together so perfectly. It was such a self-directed pose, as though they’ve been doing it for years — and they have! They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2011. The carving on the back is a little added discovery …. ‘I love thee’. I like the sound of the word ‘thee’. It feels poetic and intimate to me." —Susan Lordi
